Anti-plagiarism policy

The Editorial Board of the journal "Modern Historical and Political Issues" is committed to publishing original research and maintains a strict anti-plagiarism policy. Plagiarism is defined as presenting another's work, words, or ideas as one's own, without proper attribution. This includes, but is not limited to:
Verbatim copying: Reproducing another author's text or figures without quotation marks and proper citation.
Paraphrasing without attribution: Restating another author's ideas or arguments in different words without citing the original source.
Self-plagiarism (duplicate publication): Submitting previously published work, in whole or in part, as a new original article. This also includes "salami slicing" – unnecessarily dividing a single study into multiple articles.
Fabrication: Inventing data, research findings, or conclusions.
Falsification: Manipulating research data, images, or other materials to misrepresent the findings.
Improper attribution: Failing to properly acknowledge contributions or sources, even if the wording is different.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Manuscript Preparation:
While recognizing the potential of AI tools in research and writing, the journal emphasizes that AI cannot be listed as an author or co-author. Authors are fully accountable for the content of their submissions, including any material generated with AI assistance. Appropriate citation of AI use is required, and reliance on AI-generated text without proper attribution is considered plagiarism and a violation of this policy.

All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using specialized software. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarism, in any form, will be rejected. Published articles found to contain plagiarism may be retracted, and the author's institution may be notified. Authors engaging in plagiarism or other serious ethical misconduct may be banned from future submissions to the journal. Submitting a manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is also strictly prohibited. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and proper attribution of all sources. This policy applies to all submissions, including articles, reviews, and other materials.

While this text represents our full policy, we encourage authors to familiarize themselves with best practices in citation and attribution to avoid even unintentional plagiarism. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact the editorial office.
