Abstract

Corruption is a social phenomenon that has a pronounced political background. Historical experience shows that with the help corruption reached the highest echelons of power. However, corruption often causes the end of the careers of politicians and public officials figures, governments, leads to changes in political regimes, decline states. This article proposes the priority areas of Romania’s anti-corruption policy. The normative-legal acts are listed, and also its characteristics and features are noted. The author systematizes the main anti-corruption strategies of Romania and identifies the prospects of the study, which focus the attention of researchers on this phenomenon on various functional aspects of corruption. A brief overview of the measures taken is provided, and the main directions of combating this negative phenomenon are proposed.
