Діяльність короля та уряду Румунії на початку Другої світової війни

У статті наголошено на завданні уряду Румунії на початку Другої світової війни, спрямованому на збереження незалежності та територіальної цілісності держави. Завдання намагалися вирішувати через підтримання добросусідських відносин з іншими країнами, вжиття заходів для оборони державних кордонів. Позиція уряду не змінилася після вбивства голови уряду А.Келінеску, однак змусила вжити заходів для формування уряду здатного придушити виступи гардистів. Слідом формувався уряд примирення. Обидва уряди мали своїм призначенням демонструвати континуітет владита підтримання обраної раніше політичної лінії. Уряди формували в рамках Фронту національного відродження, який вважали засобом національного порозуміння. Відсутні були зміни у ставленні до Великої Британії та Франції, що пояснювалося збереженням у владі англофілів та франкофілів. У внутрішній політиці ставилося завдання оновлення країни, підтримання змін на користь обороноздатності країни. До внутрішньої політики належала і реалізація плану позбавлення громадянства значної кількості осіб, і встановлення мінімальної заробітної платні. піднімалися питання збереження природних ресурсів країни. В країні намагалися утримувати високий рейтинг короля, як обʼєднавчого центру для румунів, що змусило провести святковий тур по країні у грудні 1939 - січні 1940 р. Візити короля до Орадя, Констанци, Кишинева ставали засобом впливу на громадську думку та дозволяли лідерам національних меншин демонструвати прихильність короні, справі національного відродження, зміцнення армії. Одночасно урядом було продемонстровано увагу до західних та східних околиць країни шляхом проведення міністерських конференцій та визначенням завдань для покращення існування.
